Swirly candy hair
Lolly eyes, soda pop style
Sweet cherry red lips.
Gum balls swirl, swivel, swing
Coral pink, lemon yellow
Into my hands.
Coca cola fizz
With caramel cream floating like
Cotton candy clouds.
- Winter (Major course)
A haiku by Kathleen, a member of our Minor course:
The punting blanket
Reminds me of my school clothes;
Both sadly used plaid.

A haiku by Lili, a member of our Major course:
Sun warm on my skin
Is fighting to gain power
Over the cool wind.
- Lili
A haiku by Carl, a member of our Minor course:
Fight until your death,
Never dare to give in, try
And thy soul shall cry.
A haiku by Hannah, a member of our Minor course:
Ducklings clinging to
The only thing that helped them
Become something new.
Below are three haikus by Madeleine, a member of our Minor course:
Stripes and spies and crime
My class won everything
With only one sock.
Haikus really suck,
But here I go anyway:
This poem is over.
I almost fell off -
That's what happens when you sit
On top of a bridge.
